YouTuber Arrested For Shooting Video At Secluded Holy Place In Vrindavan

Gaurav Sharma (also known as Gauravzone) was detained by the UP Police in Delhi for allegedly filming videos at Nidhivan Raj, Vrindavan. Officials claimed that police arrested Gaurav Sharma, also known as Gauravzone, the administrator of a Youtube Channel for allegedly shooting footage inside Nidhivan Raj in Vrindavan on Sunday. This was a video taken during the night of November 14th.

A popular belief is that Nidhivan Raj, where Lord Krishna and Radha perform ‘raas lala’ during the night, is sacred. It is forbidden for anyone to enter.

Gaurav Sharma who owns Gauravzone YouTube channel was arrested at his Delhi residence. Police stated that Mr. Sharma had uploaded the video to Youtube on Nov 9. He had to remove it because priests protested against filming in the ‘holy place’.

Police stated that Sharma confessed to police during interrogation that he had shot the video at the holy place on November 6, with his cousin Prashant as well as friends Mohit and Abhishek. Officials said that an FIR under section 295A (IPC) and section 6 of the IT Act was filed at Vrindavan Police Station following a complaint made by Rohit Goswami – the priest of Nidhivan Raj.
