Official notification has been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and Indian Forest Service (IFS) exam in 2022. The official upsc.gov.in website allows candidates to register for the UPSC Civil Services exam until February 22nd, 2022 at 6.00 pm.
CSE will fill approximately 861 vacancies, while 151 IFS positions are expected to become vacant. After receiving a firm number of vacancies from Cadre Controlling Authorities the final number of vacant positions may change, according to the notice.
The Commission will hold the preliminary examination on June 5, 2022. Two compulsory papers, each 200 marks, will be required for the exam. Each paper will last two hours and be objective (multiple-choice questions). The General Studies Paper-II Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination is a qualifying paper. Minimum qualifying marks are set at 33%. Both Hindi and English will be used for the question papers.
A Screening Test will be conducted by the Commission to select Indian Forest Service (Main), Examination, 2022 through Civil Services(Preliminary), Examination, 2022. It will take place on June 5.
Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Civil Services exam 2022
Age Limits: Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not older than 32 as of August 1, 2022.
Education Qualification for UPSC Civil Services exam 2022
CSE: Candidates must have a degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from one of the Universities in India that has been incorporated by an Act of Parliament, or any other educational institution declared by an Act of Parliament to be deemed a University by Section 3 of University Grants Commission Act 1956. IFS: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in at least one subject, namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science or Botany.

Application Fee for UPSC Civil Services exam 2022
Candidates must pay Rs 100 fee, while the fee is exempt for Female/SC/ST/Persons With Benchmark Disability candidates.
