Ashneer Grover is a well-known face on social media platforms. Particularly after his appearance on Shark Tank India as a panelist. A call recording he made with a Kotak Mahindra Bank employee was another incident that put him in the spotlight. Rumours are swirling that Ashneer Grover could be fired as CEO of BharatPe.
Grover opened up about the rumours and expressed concern about the situation being “out of control”. Grover was asked about rumours that he would be fired during an interview with ET Tech.
Ashneer Grover didn’t give a correct answer to the question, much to everyone’s surprise. Ashneer Grover claimed that he doesn’t fear being fired and does not worry about any other issues. He stated that he won’t waste his time in politics.
Ashneer Grover stated that “No one can take away my record-breaking creation of BharatPe” in an interview. If I don’t have the same freedoms, I’m equally happy to be a shareholder or a founder.
He said that he was a builder, and that he likes to spend my energy building things. The future is driven by only one thing: whether I have the freedom to build it and if it is large enough to be considered building. I don’t have the same clarity as anyone else. “I will go wherever there is value-creation.”
Grover also spoke about the ongoing investigation by BharatPe into the whole controversy. Grover stated that the Board doesn’t usually get involved in matters pertaining to individuals. Grover claimed that his issue was made “disproportionately big” in the media, as part of a conspiracy. He suggested that the Board has been forced into action.
